Thanks, I hadn’t realized it was a separate page.
Picture Perfect!

Just wanted to share someplace
Working on a project with AlertWildfire cams and fire/smoke detection in ATAK. The cameras turn red if they see fire/smoke. I clicked on this one wondering what I might see. A refinery with a flare in progress. It’s nice to see the model is working!
Thanks AJ, this is a very important component as AI detection of smoke anomaly becomes mainstream.
I hope they also but some adsb receivers on there and feed adsb exchange.
The system has expanded, yet again.
AlertWildfire Home | ALERT Wildfire
AlertCalifornia Home - ALERTCalifornia (sort of where AlertWildfire covered a few years back, minus the half dozen NV cameras on the system at that time)

AlertUSA? AlertNorthAmerica?
[Private citizens and other interested parties can contact these agencies and sites for requests to block out portions of camera feeds that look into backyards, sensitive properties, etc. This is fairly common in the Wildland Urban Interface (WUI).]
Curious about cam maintenance…
Is there an annual maintenance cycle for cleaning, or does some of that fall back on the locals to deal?
Totally get how the network has become quite the beast to manage/maintain.
Cheers.
I think the maintenance is done by the actual service providers. Here locally unwired broadband, pge, and sce have contractors do annual maintenance and sometimes they get caught on the cameras.
Copy that and appreciate the insight.
Finger’s crossed that the Micro-Fiber Team makes the rounds to some of the coastal cams that are feeling the marine layer love.
Appears that the AlertCalifornia system has crumped. anyone else having issues? base map loads but no camera data.
just refreshed, everything looks good on my end
For those who are still having issues with getting to the Alert cameras, I had to reset my browser cache in order for them to come back up properly
Thanks for the tip, mine had issues and now all GOOD!
Having the alertwildfire camera network now interfaced on to watch duty is a huge W. Thank you and congratulations to all of those involved.
Running Springs Cam is another example of commsite/webcam that looks like it has pretty poor defensible space.

Having the webcams on the sites makes them even more critical as far as ‘critical infrastructure’ goes.
