This thing started 20 minutes ago and is now visible from the coast of Ventura County. Really getting with it.

Watching the 1 hour loop on the Camp Nine camera and it was off to the races immediately
After watching ABC7 feed, it appears that the fire is well south of Pine Canyon. That would put it closer to the Powerhouse Fire for sure, but that was more in San Fran canyon, just east of Hughes. Looks like the fire is heading towards Burnt Peak (no pun intended). I am thinking the start is closer to here: https://goo.gl/maps/XunyYTZnF4wtSqYA6 instead of at Pine Canyon, which is well north. This gives them more time for structure defense planning since the closest homes are well north.
Directly to a Type 1 IMT do to complexity?
There are no Type 2’s in the fleet, he meant type 3 air tankers.
Was there an order for a team? Missed that one
Thanks Chaparral, I’ve noticed a lot of people ordering type 2 air tankers this year Either way, I hope he got what he wanted as that column is owning some property
There needs to be a retyping of air tankers, and terminology, but that is a discussion for another time and place.
AA has 4 S2s on it right now plus 5 LATs and it looks more nationally inbound including VLAT from PHX so I think it worked itself out. The art of mobilization. Will it make it to the desert tonight? Or will it be tomorrow for wind driven runs to the desert?
BDF has 4 engines and a Water Tender responding.
BDF sent full S/T, if you’re looking at wildcad one of the engines isn’t listed in there…E-1R. Either way, full S/T immediate need enroute.
Just heard 10 additional Alphas for a total of 20
ABC live stream back up
