CA-CND-French???

Some how it seems I started this Q&D thread. However I started the Wagy flat area “Shirley” fire thread 5 days ago from a separate start in the same area of this “French” fire. It was merged into this…maybe it was a hold over heat/escape??
Not that there’s anything wrong with this merge.

I was out of coverage of internet access when I heard this French fire start.

Check the caltopo map link here in the morning. It should populate the heat signatures soon.

I it doesn’t get berried in many more posts.

I posted in here originally due to the proximity to the original fire and the fact that the first fire was small. I suppose a MOD just rolled it over since the Shirley was small and there was likely-hood the new start would just consume it’s small burn area.

Air to ground 41 not sure about victor. Anyone got a pocket card for the area?

Anyone know of a good scanner feed for the fire today?

Kern County Fire, but you get a lot of other trafic.

Yeah I was scanning that yesterday but that’s also their main command for the county so don’t get much of the fire traffic.

Hey guys. Any word yet on ICP location? Back to the school, or stuck in “Lovely Camp 9?”

Is there a good scanner for this? Kern county worked for the first day but after they switched freqs…

It was mostly on SQF ch.2 but this morning I don’t hear anything, yet.
AG 170.075
AA 167.9875
SQF ch.2 169.900

Given its a CND fire I wonder what they might have created and implemented that could be
any different from other Fed fires…NIFC standard repeater in a box (not great and very old school). Why haven’t coms been modernized??
I’ll check…

BLM Channel 4 is the new command, 169.7750

Very aggressive push to the SW this morning. That opens a lot of head fire potential into Lake Isabella, Keyesville, and Bodfish with stronger onshore winds tomorrow.
