It looks like the wind is pushing it away from your area right now.
I agree - smoke has been going East.
There is a post about the fire on the Inyo National Forestâs Facebook: https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=pfbid0k1jtvsKKU8zXBD9shRn9oFQMbsGn2uEcXgoLG41Npu5cVDHB5afhS3o9mowr7LpBl&id=100064648453714&mibextid=Nif5oz

As Iâm approaching the Sherwin Grade, looking like it might be an active day for the folks assigned.

2 VLATs and Multiple type 1 tankers working the incident.
Seven jumpers out of Porterville jumped Pizona 6/27/24.
Aircraft assigned
AA52, CalFire 505(I donât know what its new 6XX number is)
Tanker 82, 83, 16, 104, 107, 133, 910, 911
Helicopter 525, H-516
Training air attacks or ASMs are using the 6XX numbering as well?
The ASM is Charlie 5 (C5) out of MCC which is a CAL FIRE ASM. The only trainee Air Attack being used by CF that is not an EU or CWN is A658; which is a king air. The other ones are EU/CWN.
Helicopter N229HT is H-516 off of the Eldorado. So 516 not 520.
Not to overload this thread with camera screenshots, but itâs putting up a very nice pyrocumulus now.
