Yeah I heard that and watching the live video things are not looking good, the winds are pushing hard and with the ember wash it’s getting into structures and vegetation rather quickly.
I was looking at pictures of some of the street addresses and it’s no wonder why so much stuff is catching on fire. Tons of flammable stuff in front of houses, extremely dense urban sprawl. I’d be surprised if the damage wasn’t in the billions when it’s all done, and it’s not looking good or like it’ll stop anytime soon.
Correct and looking what the winds are doing and how it’s moving through the structures there is gonna be a significant amount of damage.
CICIMT 5 (Mueller) California Team 5 is being activated with in brief for the Eaton incident at the Angela’s NF HQ on 1/8/25 @ 1800
Has anyone seen a division map for this incident?
Negative the incident in evolving by the minute and there is no map info just going off radio traffic.
This fire has been burning for 3 hours… they are still reconciling resources and establishing divisions…
Is this on ANF or LAC?
Simple answer is yes
Yes…
Local DPA, LRA, SRA, FRA, Pasadena, LA County and Angeles NF in Unified Command
Several reasons why it’s a FED team. It started on the ANF. Team 5 members are ready to deploy as it’s their week and Cal Fire Team 2 is on their way to Palisades. Easier to roster than try to gather team members who weren’t anticipating deployment. Safe to say another Cal Fire Team is about to placed on hard cover as this wind event is far from over.
