The area is all grass. Island surrounded by Highway 80 on one side, residential, industrial and a State Prison on the others. Not sure the exact acreage of the range but several thousand acres. Not much long term potential but immediate threats to a lot of homes and infrastructure in the short term. North Bay IMT has been activated.

Parts of the fire would be easy mobile attack. The hills the fire climbed are pretty steep and would make mobile attack with a safe area pretty hard to do.
I agree with you all, some parts of it is great mobile area, especially the east side. The problem was the wind. 99% of the time we have a sw delta breeze. Not last night had a very strange wnw wind and very low rh. When it had alignment it was critical ros. Which was most of the fire. Down hill spread was insane. Given the draw down of resources and the amount of structures saved. Forward progress was stopped at 2300
