IR Sentinel satellite imagery from yesterday at noon shows surprisingly little heat, overall, in the Plaskett Fire. Red line is last night’s IR (cloud cover prevented mapping on southern 1/4 of fire).

What cameras are you looking at? For some reason, William’s Hill is pointed north and south and not west towards the fire. Rocky Butte doesn’t seem to be showing anything that I can see.

You can see it in the 360 a bit.
Not really worth moving the Williams Hill cameras though since it would be looking almost right at the sun (as evidenced by camera 1 and the brightness of the image, or camera 2 and how its so dark).
Probably a thought for the alert camera thread, but it would be great if we got better coverage in certain areas (Via requests from the responsible agency) or more IC/IMT started requesting the mobile cameras that AlertCA has.

They were request for the Timber but lead time on installation didn’t meet incident requirements.

Division TT putting some line along the fires edge using some old roads and maybe some firing. The IR flight had clouds.

After being on the incident for an about for a little bit now I can confirm this road well sucks terrible to have two way traffic.. everyone on it needs to be very heads up. Division GG has been trying to do a lot of firing with mix results. Most activitity seems to be on the south end laid down today due to high RH burned okay yesterday burned pretty good the day before. Eventually heli torch ops for GG a good additional contaiment this morning it sounded like. We were able to hold the fire at the flats at liggett before it transitioned back into brush. So far they di well with that terrible road mentioned above of keeping the fire out of it as far as the Dolan burn goes lots and lots of regrowth in many areas definitely want to keep the fire out of it. An additional camp is at Liggett. So I believe two currently. (Attached photo is the Dolan footprint)

Todays 9-4 ops IR map shows that squirt of activity at the sections 22 & 27 break T23S R6E.
Drainage bottom about 1700’ ridge tops 2800’
It expanded only 49 acres since 9-2 IR mapping.
2-3 Sections to go E. to the dozer line of the box.

that “dozer line on the map is actually a road system and in some parts very not defendable.
