Is there a structure threat out in front of thos thing? Saw on norcal FireWeather that the ic is requesting an immediate need type 3 strike!

Not sure out to the east but to the south and around the heel there are scattered residences

Surprised a team hasn’t gotten this one yet with the forecast to try to get ahead if it in terms of logistics

Perhaps someone in the know could post an Ops Map?

Thanks in advance!

I was thinking a Calfire team would have taken it by now

2 posts were merged into an existing topic: Team Assignments

Looks like the southern flanks are becoming very, very active this afternoon.

Mt. Bullion cam has excellent view through clear air.

Appears wind shift has begun. Gotta believe the west flank will tie into the south

Any teams getting the call ? Cal Fire or Federal ? Anyone hearing anything ?

Why hasn’t this thread been merged with the Briceburg thread on California Continuing Fires/Incidents category forum?

they are the same fire…

given it is misspelled on the Continuing Fires/Incidents category forum but still the same incident.

When or if a team gets ordered I’m sure someone will post the info !!!

There are two types of threads for most fires. There is the Questions and Discussion section, which is where various elements of an incident are discussion or questions are posed. The Incident section is designed to post relevant items of specific facts such as acreage updates, immediate threats, etc are posted. This is design intent to keep the information flowing in a cleaner more concise fashion. The Mods do a phenomenal job of keeping the right information in the right category. An incident that exceeds the initial attack phase is then moved to the Continuing Incidents category while the Questions and Discussion category remains separate.

The IA Thread gets moved to Continuing Fires, the Questions and Discussion stays the same.

Looks like the superbly successful firing operation is putting this one to bed. The entire west flank is looking really good. The camera angles don’t allow for visibility to the east side but from the visible portions, this one may be well on the way to being done.

Has the fat lady song?

She is warming up at least. One thing that this hard-headed fool has learned, it’s never over till it’s over but at the moment at least, it’s looking a lot better than it did yesterday at this time

Ya, containment lines are holding and contingency lines are in place
