per Cal Fire 1200 acres 10% containment as of 13:40

Now reported as 2,235 acres by AA or AA-51 via infrared mapping.

The air show is shutting down for the evening, report over radio stated 2800 acres earlier.

EDIT: Calfire update 2000 acres 10% contained.

At sunset a code 2 immediate need strike team responded to help hold sweetwater creek. However, after sunset a slop over is confirmed into sweetwater creek. Branch 3, I believe.

4077 acres after mapping flight by 51.

Tanker 72 was transiting through the air space and was notifying AA of their assignment to Columbia and AA requisitioned them to drop on the fire.

Air show on, I guess.

7 immediate need local type 3 engines responding to hwy140 and briceberg. Cover engines and SNF sending 5 engines.
Shifting already assigned engines.
Hearing about firing operation and heavy fuel concerns.

About 8 pm tonight the real show will begin as the East winds howl down off the High Sierra.

AA ordered 4 S2’s and Heavy 134 to fire.
