FIRIS has the fire at 51 acres. I would expect it to grow significantly because that side of the mountain is steep, however 8 tankers might turn the tide
Smoke production has slowed significantly. Going to be a mop up nightmare.
Having grown up in that area, I can hardly believe they have caught it as well as it is for now. Even though there used to be a fire station on the County Farm there back in the day. Hats off for all the work completed so far.

There actually is a Fire plan for The Mt that was created in the early 80’s that was created when the cattle were taken off the Mt.
Pretty much the whole mountain burned in '77, at the same time as the Marble-Cone fire. There were multiple lightning starts.
I believe September 8th and 9th, 2013 was the last big burn on Mount Diablo.
I believe the SCU complex deer incident was in that area.
