I have fought many fires on this very ground. Those winds and topography make for very extreme conditions. A lot of one way, dead end roads, and flag lot properties in there. Along with a lot of livestock.

From my experience working fires on this very ground, I will be surprised if this fire isn’t nearly completely lined tonight. Once the winds stop, the activity decreases dramatically, and it is fairly workable terrain. They are great one day wonders. Of course, now that I’ve said that, it’ll do the complete opposite. They have at least 8 dozers.
The 58 Fire burned for a few operational periods, but that was closer to Pozo, in the Santa Lucia Range.
Note: Now they’re saying it’s jumped Parkhill Road by about 20 to 30 acres. Even still, I’m sticking to my prediction.

I was there for the park hill fire in ‘15 and it did just that.
