They have tcu also.
B4415 in the area- “.25 acre, not in the canopy yet, off Redwood rd from Big Hill”.
Second new smoke seen on the cam.
Bald Mountain Rd Telegraph Hill Rd
The Feds and Cal Fire are both running to small lightning fires on the STF and SRA in TCU. I can see the drift smoke in the Big hill area. They are making a Hoselay into one of them. It’s humid and very little wind. Still getting a trace of rain at my house in Sonora. The rain we have gotten(not Much) in Sonora area just barely wetted the ground. Dry under the drip line of tree canopy and thick brush… AA should be up doing recon in SRA and FRA in the morning. Big Hill is nothing but a thick brush patch with a little bit of timber on top. With houses dotted all over the place.
big Hill is my worst nightmare for a fire over here. I actually turned down a rental house there years ago because I would have been too stressed out living there.
Copy that, IA a few fires in that country and we always seemed to catch them. But your are correct mega potential if one can get rolling. Last time that country burned Lynn Eastlack the HFEO at old Sonora told me in the early 60’s.
Powers been out here and all around TCU HQ. The lighting zapped something for sure. AA recon will definitely be needed tomorrow morning.
Tree IC has containment line all the way around. that was S of Pinecrest.
Hull IC off 3n21 they’re unable to access due to engine can’t get accross a couple of bridges. proposed returning in the morning with a utility vehicle.
5-2 IC off N Bald Mountain contained
Add Ponderosa hills to that list! Be safe
Do you know if that fire was on the Five Mile Creek side… It sounds like they laid a little bit of hose to get to it. Heard the cover engine from Twain Harte get dispatched to it along with a crew. Mt Elizabeth LO would of had great view of the strikes but doubt they stayed up during the storm. That would be the 5-1 fire.
I’m not sure of the exact location. they had the Twain Harte crew come in from our side (108). Mt Elizabeth was guiding crews into the Hull Fire I believe. Heard some traffic regarding him.
Both the 5-1 and 5-2 fires are staffed today with engines and a hand crew on Big Hill.
