My Elizabeth reporting smoke in the general area of the middle fork Stanislaus. Best guess is SW of Beardsley in tuolumne county. Full response from Cal Fire TCU, including a full aircraft cluster. Believe AA440 is at scene. Radio traffic is broke. Believe it’s in the forest but only STF resource responding. Was P31

The fire is on Fed DPA so officially it is STF Middle however it looks to be on SPI ground so Cal Fire will be welcome

Dry meadow prescribed burn is also still show interior smokes on the camera.

This is a reburn 20-30 acres in needle cast well within the dry meadow burn, releasing tankers and state resources.

1738 - Fire is within previous Dry Meadows Burn Units and surrounded by black. Air and CalFire Resources are being released. Forest Service crews will bring fire to existing containment lines, expected 20-30 acres.
1705 - Fire is north of Beardsley Lake off of Forest Road 5N02, currently mapped at two acres with moderate rate of spread. Three engines, One water tender, One dozer, One hand crew and one overhead responding.
1652 - Stanislaus National Forest firefighters are responding to reports of a fire north of Beardsley Lake. Once on scene, crews will make an initial size up and request more resources if needed. This is a developing situation and more information will be updated as it becomes available.

Darby Fire in 2001 we had some north winds that dropped a bunch of needle cast. For weeks after the fire was contained, fire would come out of stump holes and burn the leaf litter and needle cast.
