This is just over the ridge from my house.

30 to 40 acres in brush and grass. Engines are laying hose and two of the units dozers are pushing dirt, three hand crews at scene. A structure protection group is in place protecting structures. A lot of evacs took place. Fire spotted all over the place on both flanks and head. One structure confirmed loss. IC ordered 3 engine ST, two hand crew ST, and two dozer ST. Aircraft over the fire at 0700.

Good news is the glow is starting to Diminish from my house. Fire bumped up to a sub division Valponi acres. A lot of equipment trickling into the unit heading to the fire.

Temp at the house is 88.

No they closed it… Still a lot of stuff left but the people are gone. Other camps have popped up nearby however

#WoodsFire [update] Firefighters continue to aggressively fight the fire despite heavy fuels and steep terrain. The fire is 40 acres and backing into the Golf Links Subdivision. Near Hwy 108 and Stockton Road, Sonora (Tuolumne County)

Yes, and the bum camps keep popping up in the same area. They are just further in the brush now.

Yes it is. Burned 100+ acres last year with some structure damage too.

Yup same place as last year.

Yeah closing it down wasn’t the solution… Isn’t.

See what happens when the sun hits it in the morning and it heats up. See what spots come alive if any.
I just checked again and glow is gone for now on this side of the ridge.

Definitely looking better on the Webcam but tomorrow’s supposed to be a hot one. Always makes me nervous when 108 is closed too because that’s a major route we need for evacuations if anything else comes up.

Fire shrank a little they usually do at night. Sounds like hose and line around the fire. Mop up being done and line improvement. Today we will see if any spot are outside the line. Be interesting to what the cause of the fire was. We were under an evacuation warning last night. If I felt motivated, I could walked down the ridge and see what’s going on and run into the hoselay. I’m not that motivated. Saw the intel aircraft come over twice last night, that’s why the fire shrank… A big shout out to the troops on the fire, you did a hell of a job. Also, it is still 88 degrees outside at my house.

They are knocking the crap out of this with drops. AA 112 stated retardant on the Stockton rd side of fire on the dozer line is complete, from top to bottom. Now working on the Jamestown side of the line. The ship 4 Alpha Juliette is making water drop on interior smoke. AA says fire is looking good. If the fire got up and started running then it starts eating houses. And that’s in any direction! Good job by the IC.
