Has this actually gotten in to Tapo Canyon? Is it moving toward Santa Susana?

That is the direction it’s going, intel 76 just flew it, 1,364 acres.

Unknown under the column how far it has moved East.

I live in the hidden ranch complex off streams. I’m on duty but wife is saying strike teams are moving into there

Strike teams have been stretched from Santa Susana, through Box Cyn, into Bell Cyn and Woolsey Cyn areas including the Rocketdyne test area. This is quite a distance.

Looks like it laying down now, and temporarily lacking major aligned slopes to consume.

It got DRY today.

Remember way back when - there was once the adage by old fire dogs that “when sun goes down, fires go out” in that country! Ah, i miss the good ol days!! :grimacing:

She’s done.

Anyone know where to find an IAP for this or any fires now that the FTP has moved to FAMWEB? I only see maps posted no IAP’s for any fires.

Don’t know. There’s a lot of open line could just be uncontrolled fires edge

Will be interesting to see if those fuels are going to be more receptive on the southwest facing slope if the fire gets over there. Also, compound the amount of drying that’s been occurring over the last two days with temperatures reaching into the upper 80s.

Additionally, if the fire gets established on the other side of the mountain range, when the shore winds kick in the fire would be in alignment so hopefully they can hold it at the fire road/dozer line.

Today’s forecast is definitely warmer with similar winds. With that incredible dip down to 8% RH yesterday at 3pm today is definitely going to be interesting

The fires being pushed by some pretty strong winds and the temperatures in the area are in the '90s. They’re sending two engines into Bell Canyon right now just for eyes in the area and requesting more engines if it crosses the Albertsons motorway. Which is a fire road through those mountains
