750 acres 2 new starts will be ran under the south as a complex.
Both new starts were false alarms.
Thank you didnt catch that
Probably pushing 800 acres per VNC. trying to pick up the fingers with the copters heal is picking up but looking good dozers have tied in line on the south want to tie the line in southwest with the dozers looking for an area on the west side of the fire to put the dozers in. Advising that they should place night ops orders soon.
Yea I had to hop off scanner for a bit still moving per VNC has potential to run out to the west on them
Additional evacs coming sounds like there repositioning some resources increased activity on cam
Sounds like it’s gonna make it to Misson rock road
Trying there hardest keep it out the river bottom
2,244 acres per intel will have 3 night copters on rotation
Main section of open line on the northside of the fire going to work to tie it back into the ridge. Lots of direct line around this thing trying to use night helos to get as much retardant around the structures. want to set up for success tomorrow dozer 13 and 12 working on the open line fire may head up the ridge from the river bottom fires slowed in the flats. but still moving.
dozer 12 and 13 have completed assignments will bed them down tonight so there available tomorrow. wondering when Dozer 14 will complete assignments. copters will work till time out and so a pilot swap unsure if they will continue to work or have them up in the morning AA will have tankers over the incident in the morning. Per division 3 they are good with what they have right now. new mandatory evacuation for Ranch road to the ridge line.
Per online posts increasing fire activity in branch 5 fires making a major down hill run towards saticoy country club area moving resources for structure protection
Sounds like the copters will work in and around the country club on the ridge to the south? as well as it sounds like defensive firing ops may be conducted.
Three QRF helitankers working in tandem will make a difference and become a ‘gee wiz’ moment of revelation for many!
“Last night the QRF fleet delivered over 50,000 Gallons of retardant on the #Southfire, below is a video of N40CU dropping an impressive 3000 gallons of retardant last night as taken from Copter 76, our HELCO and fire intelligence aircraft.
With our two crews we are able to work all day and all night, the fleet is already back at it this morning with the day crew!” -Coulson FB page
Game changer! Critical to recognized as systems approach, helitankers plus mobile retardant base.
Per VNC early this morning on scanner forward progress appears to be stopped above the structures majority of the fire has direct line maybe a couple gaps in the line here and there
