Ongoing aftershocks. This area will probably need to be inspected for landslide potential before it is completely over.

I live in Ojai and it really rocked our home! Probably less than 5 miles from epicenter.

Is VCO really the designation for Ventura County? Not XVE?

VNC is Ventura County Fire

It’s VNC, because VNC is the jurisdiction in Ojai, only when they assemble a strike team with outside agencies like Ventura, Oxnard, Fillmore does the designation become XVE

Got it, thank you…that didn’t leap to mind. But VCO just wasnt right.

XVE does refer to anything in the OP Area.

Ojai continues to experience aftershocks from the 5.1M earthquake detected at 2:41pm PT. The last detected aftershock is 2.8M roughly 3.7 miles (6km) southeast of Ojai at 8:03pm.

Highway 33 remains closed at Ojala north of Meiners Oaks. Highway 150 east and west are open under caution at this time, however it is strongly urged to avoid driving local roads and highways due to flood, risk of falling and rolling debris, mudslides and emergency responders and responder vehicles on the roads and shoulders.
