Great news for the hired vendor community. Some of us were pretty worried about fuel pricing this year.

I didn’t see anything about aircraft. I bid my CWN contract for my helicopter back in March. Fuel prices have soared (pun intended) since then. My Huey burns 80 gallons per hour. That adds up fast at $7.00 per gallon.

That’s a good stroke from CF, Fed VIPR vendors have been turning down a lot of assignments and there’s nothing in the works that I’ve been able to find out. That’s going to be tough for Fed incidents. Plus they loose their CCC agreement for camp crews at the end of the month. That’s really going to hurt. Glad I’m not an LSC on a Fed team anymore.

Lets not forget most Vol FF buy their own fuel in POV to and back from the station for calls drills meetings and alike.
