Looks like we need a new thread about GACC, South Ops, North Ops, OES regions.
I meant OES-R1 is in the South Ops GACC.
GACC is generally used to refer to South Ops, North Ops, Great Basin, Southwest, Northwest ect.
I understand that LACoFD is the coordinator for OES R1. I’m just not use to hearing it referred to as the GACC.
Agree. Although im retired that used to be called an op area coordinator
Yes, the title is Op Area Coordinator. LACoFD is a Region Coordinator. I was using “GACC” as a similar term. LACoFD is the Region Coordinator/Geographic area coordinator for OES R-1. They report to Sacramento, not to South Ops. LACoFD is equal to SouthOps as a Region Coordinator, on the OES side.
I also worked in a Op Area Coordinator.
