Weāre closing in on almost 50% of social media posts being generated by bots. Something to remember when reading comments on YT, IG, FB, Reddit, etcā¦The bots are there to either anger you or make you feel like youāre āin the groupā which (subliminally) encourages you to engage thus generating eyeballs which makes the site money. When one posts reactions Zuckerborg/Huffman/Pichai et all. thanks you.

4 warehouses burned down. It is a conspiracy to destroy food and medical supplies.
One of those warehouses was in Stockton which is like a daily occurrence though, so that does not count.

I think we are going to see more and more storm chasers, move into fire chasers, plugging their social mediaādriven sites (Influencers)
Storm chasing has always had an adrenaline side, but social media has changed the incentive structure. The closer, louder, scarier, more dramatic shot gets the views.
That same mentality is going to spill over into fire.

Related topic - media often shows the biggest flames of the day, over and over. Iāve been guilty of assuming things about the behavior of fires Iām covering based soley on a few seconds of footage that were the spiciest thing the fire did all day. Thinking of an exchange I had on here with @HighLonesome, from LMU, after I over-reacted to some footage of the Dixie Fire ripping next to Highway 395 out near the old Eagle Fire burnover site, and questioned why they were putting firefighters in harmās way in a place we knew was dangerous.
Their tactics were based on what he saw out there, across the entire shift, vs the scary 10-15 seconds I saw on Facebook. FB and other socials often play things back, days later, and people watching it think the fire is still ripping, even it itās out. Mainstream media does the same thing, often playing intense footage from the initial burning period days later, as they report, breathlessly, āthe fire is only 30% containedā (itās actually done spreading)ā¦

A lot of the people who poast wild theories about stuff simply do not live in the biome and are used to vegetation regime that does not burn. So they donāt have an understanding that fire is something that occurs here by default. When a destructive fire happens here it is by default to assume there has to be mal-intent because it is so unthinkable when they live in āEdenā, lush, green, cicadas chirping everywhere. Bambi eating berries, creeks flowing year round, etc.
