Oregon State Fire Marshal has formed two task forces and moved them to central Oregon.
This is very rare. They were moved in anticipated heat conditions and lightning.

The two firefighting task forces from Washington & Marion Counties that were sent to C. Oregon were demobilized at 4:00 pm today and headed home. We thank them for deploying to add capacity during the Red Flag Warnings and lightning that moved through.

Firefighters from Northwest Oregon will be headed to Southern Oregon on Friday to help bolster capacity as the region is under a Red Flag Warning and lightning is again in the forecast.
The Office of the Oregon State Fire Marshal (OSFM) is mobilizing two task forces, one from Clatsop County, the second from Clackamas County. The two will be deployed and prepositioned Friday to Klamath County for 72-hours. The two task forces may stay longer if they are needed.
This is a proactive move for the region to be better prepared and bolster any initial fire attack. These firefighters are not assigned to a specific incident but will be an added resource and increase the state’s readiness if there is a fire.
Through the Oregon State Legislature, the OSFM was allocated funding to preposition resources around the state if conditions warrant. This is just one way the OSFM is working to be response ready for any wildfire that may break out.
The OSFM encourages all Oregonians to be aware of the dry conditions and take the necessary precautions to avoid sparking a fire.

The two firefighting task forces from Clackamas & Clatsop Counties that were sent to Southern Oregon as pre-positioning resources demobilized and are back with their home units. We thank them for deploying to add capacity during the Red Flag Warnings and lightning that moved through.
These men and women were able to engage in cross-training with local and federal partners, familiarize themselves with new territory they may respond to in the future, and built key partnerships with other firefighters and local agencies in the region

Washington emergency management division-
Today, we helped dispatch 42 firefighters,12 fire engines & three tenders to #GrandviewFire & #BootlegFire in Oregon. Fire resources were combined from 12 agencies across the state. This ensures our state is prepared for wildfires in Washington state while supporting our neighbors to the south. We’re happy fire departments stepped up to respond to the request for assistance from Oregon Office of Emergency Management through the Emergency Management Assistance Compact. At the same time, we know our own state is still dealing with active wildfires and the threat of more.
Fire resources come from North Kistap Fire & Rescue, Central Kitsap Fire & Rescue, Eastside Fire & Rescue, Valley Regional Fire Authority, South County Fire & Rescue, City of Arlington, Skagit County FD 3, Snohomish County 26, City of Everett, Central Whidbey Island Fire and Rescue, Snohomish County 21, Snohomish County 15, Skagit County 14, Chelan Fire & Rescue, Snohomish County 22.

Utah Division of Emergency Management has mobilized 42 firefighters and equipment. These crews will be prepositioned in Central Oregon to help out with our response to any wildfire. Thanks to Sisters-Camp Sherman Fire District for hosting. This is all part of being prepared and #ResponseReadyOregon.
