On scene copter took this picture while flying in crews yesterday.
Update 18th is 500 acres and unstaffed.
This is due SE of Fairbanks. Reported by Pogo mining area near Richardson Highway. Additional crews responding to protect cabins.
EDIT UPDATE: 6-19
843 Acres moderate rate of spread. Forestry engines have mitigated structure/cabin threat and are monitoring the fire.

Remains unstaffed and grown to 2,995 acres. Largest fire in the state still burning.

23 New fires reported in last 24 hours across the State. Largest one that started today is 25 acres that is unstaffed.

On the 23rd a recon flight showed very little fire activity. Holding around 3000 acres. No other recon mission since then.
