Interesting story, if you only work emergencies that have a four hour turn-around. Nothing in the story indicated how long the engine is out of service while being brought back to a full charge so it may go back into service ?
Anyone know how many calls per 24 hour period out of that station ?

Was thinking the same thing…A good working structure fire will eat four hours quickly. Then putting a load on the engine pumping it. Lights, radios etc…Be interesting to see how this works out. My other question is how are the batteries going to held up in that heat on calls? Not exactly cool there in the summer.

Maybe a/c for the batteries, which of course will eat up more of the limited stored power
