#AZForestry is working the #AnyaFire, approximately 25 miles south/southeast of Florence near SR 79. The wind-driven fire is estimated at 100 acres, and is burning through grass and brush, with a moderate rate of spread to the north/northwest. An AZ Forestry hand crew, along with cooperator engines are working to stop forward progress. The fire is the result of an escaped pile burn on private property. Law enforcement is on scene. Please do not get complacent when using tools that may spark or when conducting debris burns. Our summer rains have created additional fuel and the consistently warm temperatures are drying out that grass and brush. Please use caution when working outdoors with fire and always have a water source and shovel nearby. #AZFire

The #AnyaFire in Pinal County is now 100% contained at 132 acres with no additional growth overnight. AZ Forestry’s Florence Crew along with an engine remain assigned to the incident checking for hotspots and any interior smoke. The human-caused fire started Wednesday, September 28, approximately 25 miles south/southeast of Florence, near State Route 79. An initial finding indicates the fire was the result of an escaped pile burn on private property. Two state fire investigators are assigned to the incident. #AZFire #AZForestry
