Watching the 6 hour, they used some ladder trucks, however sometimes there’s just too much fire.

The nearest shopping center complex hydrant is only about 500’ away. Still, once it gets going your probably going to tax the water infrastructure there.

This could really hurt the county :frowning_face:.

Empire fire update the Ampine building continues to burn wildland fires have started in the area of the Ampine fire and police have shut down all traffic to the industrial boulevard complex stay away you can get in and you’re going to have a hard time getting out.

:rotating_light:UPDATE AS OF 3 PM: AFPD confirms Fire crews continue to work on scene of the fully involved commercial structure fire at Ampine Fibreform Company in Martell, CA.

All employees were evacuated and there are no reported injuries at this time.

Today was a non production day at the facility. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

There currently are no hard road closures or evacuations at this time in the area, although power to some nearby buildings could be interrupted as crews continue to work on this incident. Amador Fire confirms they advised for people to leave the area for safety precautions but it was not a mandatory evacuation in the surrounding areas/shopping centers.

We will provide more information as it becomes available.

:rotating_light:There is currently a fire burning in one of the main Ampine production buildings located off Ampine-Fibreform Rd. in Jackson (Martell), Amador County. The call was dispatched at 12:02 p.m. today, Monday, July 25th and continues to burn as of 2:40 p.m. The smoke column is visible for miles around, and can be seen as far as Folsom, CA and beyond.

Amador Fire Protection District (AFPD) has advised that there are multiple resources on scene. Please avoid the area.

Amador County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed all of the Ampine employees have been evacuated and are accounted for.

CAL FIRE AEU confirms the fire did spread to the surrounding vegetation. Firefighters have put a wet line around the vegetation fire. Multiple agencies are assisting with the fully involved commercial building fire.
