Fire on Calaveras side is 30 to 40 acres still running side slope per AA. Fire on the north side of the river running side slope still at a dangerous rate of spread.

Started inside the northwest part of the butte fire burn area.

Lighter fuel on the north side where the fire is burning at Electra powerhouse with heavier fuel where it spotted across the river. fuels get heavier east of Electra powerhouse on the North side. This is just what I saw on Google Earth.

The relief air attack was ordered well before 1800, for 1915 over the fire. AA230 just arrived.

The Sac type 3 team has done a great job of establishing incidents. They can be there much quicker than the full state team who’s members are responding from across the state. They get there, start getting everything in motion then transition if the type 1 team is needed.

Agree. CalFire has been using LG Type 3 teams for this purpose for at least 3 or 4 years.
