New fire in AEU. Reported along Jackson Valley Rd. Initial report was 1 acre, seems bigger now.

several spots… 2 fires 5 acres potential for 50 acres… requesting 2 more any type tankers AA440 and T82 and T83 on scene already

#JacksonIncident (UPDATE - 7:05 pm): 28.2 acres and 40% contained. Forward progress has been stopped. Heavy mop up in a concrete ready mix yard. Staffing through the night, as well as tomorrow. The cause of the fire has been determined to be a catalytic converter. Thank you to all the local cooperators for their assistance - CAL FIRE Tuolumne-Calaveras Unit, Amador Fire City of Ione Fire Department, Jackson Valley Fire Protection District, Jackson Fire Department, Amador County Sheriff’s Office, and CHP - Amador.
