I went to the scene earlier today. Still a lot of work BUT it sure looks like a night helped. Most of the evacuation orders are now modified. To m his was a big stop. Hot, very dry and windy yesterday. My hat is off to those who made a championship effort.

This video shows that at least one hangar got burned. It also kind of illustrates the problems faced with the steep brush covered embankment right next to the airport. The flames sheeting up over the top of the embankment sure made for some spectacular film/photos.

Pretty small “hangar”. Could it be a storage container? One other structure below the line of hangars also.
