40 acres. MROS. 440 assmining AA. Tankers 76, 82, 83 over fire. T122 lifting off from MCC. Copter 601 arriving
Looking at the topography and the fuels in the pictures this one looks like it could be big trouble.
AA has ot at 60 acres now. Down in the drainage. Short range spotting MROS to RROS.
IC Ordering 5 closet engines as well as 5 agency engines and 3 WT’s
2 additional tankers any type
It’s bushy and steep in that canyon. Power line fuel break up slope all the way to the power house. Sub Division to the northeast up the canyon. If it jumps the river onto TCU that would be a mess.
S-2 flying out of Columbia fast and furious. Ugly area for a fire and coming to the hottest part of the day. Can see it from my house in Sonora.
They just “ALL Call” toned out a strike team out of TCU.
Tile set.
Wondering if that was a covering ST but it was a TCU ST. Doesn’t leave us with much in the Unit.
In the Butte Fire area?
84 acres according to Watch Duty. Looks like the main fire had merged with the large spot.
No, Butte Fire is down canyon at Electra. This is up canyon Tiger Creek area. Heard IC say fire was holding at 83 acres for now. From my house no more base just a lot of drift. They also staged a Dozer up in West Point Cal fire. That was a good move just in case it jumps the river.
The fire now has retardant line all the way around it, and air resources plan on doubling that up - per Air Attack
Finally some good news! Thank you.
I have been watching on Watch Duty. They are painting heavily.
Yes they are S-2s over the house about every ten minutes
