T810, T835, T870, T886, T105, T910, assigned…
Crazy to see SEAT’s assigned to a South Ops fire.
Live video:
LAC AREP discussing plans for structure threat in Pine Valley or Quail Lake, east of, or north of the fire and strong south wind on the fire pushing it, skirting the 5 fwy.
EDIT: IC states 180 acres, 0% containment, pushing north.
180 acres now.
What a combo 4 SEAT, a LAT, and a VLAT
Looks like 76 & 78 out of Porterville and 72 from Hemet inbound
Desperate times
The fire is about to get in the drainage here. Will make a big run when it gets in the bottom. Apple Canyon
Looks like they were able to catch it
I have no room to judge but even with the contracts the Feds don’t have with the scoopers, if they are already there with this thing running, why send them away? Don’t want to get off topic here but interesting
That would be the West Fork of Liebre Gulch. The last time there was fire in there was the late 1960’s.
That is the conversation going on between LAC AC 5 and BC 22 right now and the forecast for spread and structure threat as a result. Liebre and Apple each have potential.
