Should parallel the Curve Fire scar from 2002.
EDIT: Reversed the English idiom. Spot on sir. Spot on.
Sounds like ANF is assembling an IMT.
Relief AA658 & Lead Charlie 3 enroute.
ANF Advising Night AA 0TW is available as well.
IC calling it 327.5 acres…
Ideal for Copter Night work. Good open water sources nearby.
Some of that area burned in 2002 from the Williams Fire, Narrows fire in 1997 ( further up in the wilderness) and the Unknown fire in 1977. There was a station there at East Fork until 2012 when Forest Leadership decided the maintenance costs for upkeep were too high for East Fork and " Engines could drive faster" to there from Rincon…per the Forest Supervisor…
Looking good…for the moment:
ANF-Fork extended frequencies assigned (if there’s still steam in this one):
Air Tactics FM: 165.9875
Air/Ground: 169.975
Rotor Vic: 118.825
Near vrticsl slopes always are difficult. Same in this case. BUT Night Copters, aggressive Hand Crew work has helped to tame this potential problem fire.
So did they put a fork in this one?
Almost but the vertical area still could pose a problem.
