I think he is concerned with the fire getting established on the northwestern flank in Idyllwild Proper. That would be slope alignment for a major up canyon run tomorrow that would threaten many many more lives and property.

OES type 1 Engines getting punched out in the Bay Area for Cranston. ROSS showed 8 type 1 strike team requests pending in reg 2.
On night shift still waiting for yesterday’s lunches. Seriously thinking about eating our engines slowest hiker. Oh and activity has been picking up since 4am. For day shift becareful a lot of snags have been falling thru the night.

The fire looks to be waking up right now. column starting to build. Tankers are up working the fire.
Edit: The Fire is Capping out at 0950 a.m. The atmosphere above the Fire looks to have quite a bit of Instability.

AA ordered more Air Tankers due to imminent life/structure threat. Resources moving towards Lake Hemet, and Apple Canyon. Currently no Tankers available.
The Fire has also reached P.S Tramway property, the Tram is now closed and the are evacuating people from the area.
