Hearing a lot of commotion about a new fire east of Independence. Any info? San Bernardino and Riverside sending crews and engines.

Looks like something in the lower right of the Bald Mountain cam.

Looking at WildCAD, looks to be the Mazourka incident, Mazourka Canyon just NE of Independence

T76 and T78 are making a second trip from Porterville

Firefighters are working a vegetation fire 5 miles northeast of Independence. Fire is currently 4-5 acres. Difficult access is hampering suppression efforts. 2 air tankers, 2 copters, 12 engines, 6 crews, 3 water tenders, 1 dozer assigned. Assistance by Inyo NF also provided.

That is the Jordan fire way south in the upper kern River canyon.

is there any reason I cant find this in the IA section? or continuing incidents?

Not enough information was available to start an initial attack thread in the IA section and it was stopped with in a few hours.
