Potential for 3000 ordering 10 additional strike teams of engines. That’s per second hand source don’t know if that’s going to be Charlie’s or any type but it’s immediate need.

The helo at Mammoth is a Type 1 Chinook, but I don’t know about the copter from Lone Pine. Wildweb shows that Independence Helitack’s Type 3 helo is also on scene.

They were doing a firing op around Aberdeen . Multiple strike teams enroute to the incident still. Still good glow on the cameras.

Some fire history since 2006, but before that, there’s not much history. When the perimeter was flown, the head just managed to thread itself between two lava flows.



The lava flows are not completely bare, as this is the view from the 395 in September 2025, near the “Blackrock” label on the 2nd image:
