Plumas County evacuations expanded, per SO Plumas County Sheriff's Office - A Mandatory Evacuation Order has been issued for: Greenville and Crescent Mills and Round Valley Reservoir, Dixie Canyon, Indian Falls, Long Valley (west of Round Valley), Dixie Canyon south to Indian Falls, south of Indian Falls to the Hwy 70/89 Junction. and Hwy 70 at Black Hawk Rd north to the Hwy 70/89 Junction and everything on the western side of Hwy 70, this includes Butterfly Valley, and Black Hawk. due to forward progression and a spot fire made by the #dixiefire. and Everything west of Hwy 89/36 Junction, west along the southside of Hwy 36 to the County Line. Evacuate northbound to Hwy 147 and then to Chester for Shelter or southbound via Hwy 89 and Hwy 70 to Quincy Personnel are going door to door to make notice. A Shelter is open at the Springs of Hope Church in Quincy at 59 Bell Lane in Quincy A Shelter is open at Memorial Hall at 180 Gay St in Chester. Lake Almanor is visible on the left on the bottom of the screen, it does appear the fire is approaching the lake so the IR hits may not be too far off. GOES16 is still working but is pointed at the east coast so the tilt of the earth can throw the thermal hits off by a few miles.

Looks to me like a spot fire just took off real close to Quincy.

Always hard to tell looking at smoke but it looks like its between Snake Lake and Blackhawk roads north of town maybe?
