CA-BTU-Dixie?

Yes it does! Yesterday’s briefing said they expect a couple days of calm to get some good progress in before the conditions becomes less cooperative.

No Dixie data package for today uploaded yet on the FTP site. I’m headed out for vacation for a few days so if they release one later today I won’t be around to create KML files for it or the next few days. Take care and I hope to see these fires behaved while I was gone.

What the heck? I’m back and they haven’t uploaded any data packages to the FTP site for days? Anyone know wuzzup with that?
Normally found here, stopped on the 12th:
https://ftp.wildfire.gov/public/incident_specific_data/calif_n/!CALFIRE/!2021_Incidents/CA-BTU-009205_Dixie/GIS/IncidentData/

It tells you we missed you! Welcome back…

Ah, that could explain it although I don’t see a folder for it in if they took over: Index of /public/incident_specific_data/calif_n/!2021_FEDERAL_Incidents

@Clayton You were right although it appears to have been the 12th which makes sense since that was their last upload. I received this email from 2021.dixie.ca@firenet.gov which unfortunately did not answer my question about if the data was transitioned and still being maintained and uploaded somewhere:
“Good morning, Larry that was the CALFIRE repository, that team left on the 12th.”

Just drove up 36 to Chester. Saw flames halfway up the mountain directly behind Childs Meadows. Also, another spot behind St. Bernard lodge part way up Butt mountain. Hopefully they send someone to put them out… !$%@

My Internet fiber burned when that finger blew out. 2.5 months without my intel machine, definitely makes me appreciate being reconnected. Got the dozer lines rehabbed 3 days ago, lovin the RAIN!

does anybody know where to find fire cam video of Greenville burning?

As part of my continuing coverage of the Dixie Fire on The Lookout website, I am soliciting video and photos of fire behavior, firefighting tactics, and any other interesting or newsworthy events. I am especially interested in seeing photos of key events like the several days leading up to Greenville burning, fire behavior after the fire spotted over Humboldt Road, fire behavior during large firing operations that went well, or didn’t, and fire behavior during the fire’s big run west of Chester.

I’ll be using submitted video in wildfire education videos on our Youtube Channel, and also, as source material for articles on The Lookout. No anonymous submissions will be accepted - I need accountability to be able to confirm locations, dates, and times of anything I publish, but we can your identity confidential. By submitting material, you are giving me permission to use your material for commercial use. I’ll give attribution if you want it. Send me a PM for a Dropbox link.
