ChP is reporting a fire by the feather river fish hatchery. They are locking up and evacuating

On Bluffs drive off of Grand Ave .

The fire has jumped the river near the Smog shop off of Montgomery avenue, Oroville

Local News Reports
The Oroville Police Department is issuing an Evacuation Order for the area of Grand Ave south to Oro dam Blvd, and East of Hwy 70 to Table Mt Blvd, Orange Ave, and Long Bar Rd.

The sheriff’s office told Action News Now they are working on evacuations in downtown Oroville on Montgomery Street.

Police said evacuation orders are also in place for Bluffs Drive, Second Street, Oroview Drive in Oroville due to a fire that started on the north side of the Feather River along Grand Avenue.

The fire has burned 25 acres and two structures have been lost. 13 engines are on scene of this fire.

**UPDATE: 5:49 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 15 - The Oroville Police Department is lifting all remaining evacuation warnings in the Oroville area.

The fire has burned 30 acres and forward progress has been stopped. Two structures have been damaged and out outbuilding was destroyed. 13 engines are on scene of this fire.

The cause is still under investigation after sparking just before 3 p.m. Thursday. Oroville fire said crews will be on scene for a couple more hours.
