Anyone know anything here? The inbound BC requested a larger response
The camera triangulation puts it not far outside the Apache fire from last week.
There are two new fires in the area. Grubbs IC: Grubbs x Brollier Way two structures and 2-3 acres in Palermo, a slightly earlier fire also in Hurleton but seems to be somewhat contained by roads and driveways.
Believe it’s called the Grubb Incident
(Grubbs Fire) 7/3/2024 @ 3:42 PM BCFAC via Scanner (Cal Fire): Structure and Vegetation fire in the area of Grubbs Road and 49 Broillier Way.
Sounds like they are diverting T94 from a fire in Lake County to this.
Sure looks like a large structure fire with that column color. I would have lost that bet
It is both. Vegetation with 2 fully involved structures per watch duty.
Ahhhh…so not 100% wrong
It was first toned out as a structure fire and then when resources arrived they said spread to vegetation.
Yeah looks like they are releasing all tankers from the lake county fire now.
ROC: 7-8 acres, low to moderate potential, potential for 25-30 acres. Starting evacs. Order for Palermo zone 868, warning for Palermo zones 867, 866, and 869.
Palermo Zone 867 just updated to an order
New fire in Palermo will be Dunstone Incident. Air attack thinks unrelated to Grubbs due to wind direction, 1/4 to 1/2 acre full wildland response and 2 air tankers requested. Will be using same air frequency as Grubbs.
Update: Dunstone IC stopped and releasing/diverting several resources. Great stop!
