Air attack just said they have the head of it pretty well surrounded with retardant, but the retardant is trying to chew through it slowly in one area and that the copter is working that area now.
Some dozer and handcrew resources are still responding.
I could watch the planes coming in to drop… The MD80 was diverted from the Dixie… too close for comfort. you can see the flames coming into town on Skyway. The link below shows the DC10 painting a little red . the skies are crowded over lower Neal Road
Butte County Sheriff’s Office has issued an evacuation order for McCann Dr., Royal Meadow Lane and Sunnyside Lane in Paradise due to a fire, the Sheriff’s Office said.
CAL FIRE said the fire is on Neal Rd. in lower Paradise.
Rick Carhart, CAL FIRE Butte’s Public Information Office, said this fire is not due to the Dixie Fire.
CAL FIRE said it has hand crews and air attacks at the scene.

That wasn’t the DC10 dropping in the video. It was a MD80.

They just released all of the tankers back to the Dixie Fire and are calling this fire somewhere between 10-15 acres to be mapped later. Sounds like it’d pretty much done.
