CA-BTU-PARK-2024???

They caught a break that it is primarily backing and flanking along Highway 32. If it had hit it straight on, it would be a completely different conversation

All the resources up in Cohasset are hopefully keeping an eye out behind them. Once this portion crests the ridge on the north side of the canyon, it could make a hard push towards them.

Crazy cyclonic rotation of the column in the last 15 minutes on the PlatteMtn1 cam.

Looks like everything just NE of there in Forest Ranch, specifically Nopel Rd is going to take it head on if it hasn’t already

A few questions for all the experts here:
Trying to educate myself. Hope this is ok to ask.
Is it possible the Park will reach the Dixie Fire Burn scar and thus run out of burnable fuels? Is that a possible stop for it? It seems at present it has a nearly unlimited supply of burnable fuel that it is devouring at a seemingly uncontrollable pace.

Still plenty of fuels in that area.

This fire will be contained by fire personnel and hard work sometime in the near future. The Dixie fire was an anomaly of a mega fire.

Platte mountain 1 camera has some incredible time lapse for the last 30 minutes. Looks like it’s going to take a direct hit shortly.
