CA-BTU-PARK-2024???

Hard to tell with all the ghost targets you get with ADS-B Exchange, but it looks like they are going to have Spartan 620 pretty soon. I also spotted Guard 820 near Mather, but I have no other info. I’d rather think if its CalGuard, they’d maybe want to bring a CH47, or the like.

This definitely looks like Spartan 620 and CalFire 606 are getting ready to do something. Again, no info on whether these are evac or buckets.

Caltopo is 3hrs. behind on loading the heat signatures from VIIRs and MODIS satellites :
But its a start to the location of the fire and spread direction… interactive, zoom in and out, add or remove layers on right side menus

Base layer I used USFS topographic map (this is a map for the location of heat on a topo map)

Spartan 620 is probably a bucket. CalGuard has 2 NVG Chinooks on standby for nighttime evac, if they are needed. LACFD QRF NVGs are at the Apache Fire, right now.

From the post on CalFire’s website, 1500 acres at 20:55
Link to the details page for the fire, has crude map of spread towards the north? :

Looks Guard820 made it up there from Mather. Probably another NVG bucket.

This is a major WAG, but here is where it could be as of about now.
Pretty solid on the south flank and origin, and the NE flank was pretty evident from the edge of the foothills. Spot across Cohasset Road based on scanner traffic, and major growth up Mud Creek is a guess based on the size of the column - it had to have gobbled a big slope-driven run?
South flank will be fought at the base of the foothills or Sycamore Diversion channel levee.
Smoke is drifting into Chico now.
