New start near Lake Henshaw.
25700 East Grade Road.
This will be the Grade incident when first unit arrives.
Without being obvious, this is an awful place for a fire to start. Hopefully the tankers can pick it up fast.
Reported near the overlook on East Grade Rd. Very heavy brush and steep terrain. Waiting for a size up but it does appear to be building a bit.
CNF is going to be the ordering point.

WD shows wind out of the west in that area though
3-5 acres with spotting per Grade AA. Also requested 2 additional Tankers. On the upside it is burning downhill from the road, so it’s not moving like it could be.
This area also experiences the Lake Elsinore effect. For those that are not familiar, the fire will burn faster downhill during the afternoon.
It has spotted quite a ways downhill. Aircraft assigned…Air Attack 330, Air Tankers 71, 72, 73, 117. Copters 11, 608, Helitanker 9CU.
Does anyone know the current water level/capacity of Lake Henshaw? Looking to see if the fire has the potential to skirt around the north end of the lake and impact Hwy 79.
Lake is only at 12% capacity so that is an option.
It’s on the flats and moving.
Video ended, Copters always have a tough time keeping signal out there. But ya, its in the flats and moving, about to burn into grass.
I was wondering how it would move when it hit the grass, hopefully the tanker can slow it down and hopefully that dirt is open for Dozers.

looks like it crossed the green belt along the wash, off to the races
