AA reporting 50-100 acres now. Sounds like a long drive in for ground units. CNF also requesting a second alarm and a total of 6 Tankers and 5 Copters.

Per radio traffic Air Attack is worried about how effective retardant will be given the heat of the fire and lack of ground resources at scene.

Long ingress and the communities are surrounded by the San Mateo Canyon Wilderness. I presume they’ll get/have dozer clearance given values at risk (if they arrive in any significant time)?

Edit: On second thought, if it gets past the old dozer line to the east of Tenaja Truck Trail, perhaps not given quantity of granite outcroppings.

Also visible from the Rancho Carillo cameras, another good angle of the column. Looks to be plume dominated fire behavior based on previous fires in that area. Going to have to watch out for afternoon onshore seabreeze shift, and possible Elsinore effects as well. Definitely a few watch out situations there.
