This is the Questions and Discussions thread so it wonāt get moved to Continuing. Carry on.
Lots of evacs just ordered
VIIRS heat detections from about 3pm, 8/18/20.
Additionally it sounds like a new fire was reported at Upper 236 x China Grade
Multiple spot fires and Santa Cruz county depleting engines.
Iāve been monitoring the command channels and it sounds like multiple spots are occurring north of the community of Boulder Creek. By jumping from hundreds of acres this morning to 7,500 tonight in 1,000 and 10,000 hour fuels this complex should get pushed up the priority list for resources.
The Woodward fire in Marin and Austen Fire In Sonoma, both on the coast are experiencing the same fire behavior. In these heavy fuels they will be a problem for a long time
All of Boulder Creek, Brookdale and the upper end of Bonny Doon now under the evacuation ordersā¦
Multiple homes on fire in Bonny Doon areaā¦focus is on evacs vs fighting any fire
