CA-ENF-Caldor?

A lot of the local folks, including the OES engines, are rotating crews off engines. Not sending replacement equipment.

They restored power in Christmas Valley, Meyers, and Country Club Heights this evening. My ring cameras are back up. Lots of police and fire presence in the neighborhood. The firefighters did an incredible job protecting homes in the basin.

We’ve been in the Christmas Valley area for our last two op periods (Monday and today). Crews have been working hard in Div. K to get Christmas Valley buttoned up. The fire was slowly backing from 50 down to the dozer line on the back side of Panorama until some shot crew punched line in today from Echo Dr down to Panorama. Line was plumbed and we’re holding and mopping it up now. The fire on the east side of 89 is still chunking to the south. Line has been pushed behind Apache and up towards High Meadows and crews have been mopping up along Hwy 89. The southern and eastern edge of that fire is going to be a challenge to punch in.

Could you please show that list?

Air attack sounding very frustrated with the situation on the north side, largely due to resources not being available to mobilize at a critical time because they’re in shift change / morning brief. Significant confusion regarding comms with the new zoning, sounds like aircraft are running out of radios to monitor all of the freqs effectively.

In looking at the heat signatures along Hwy 88 in the area of Silver Lake, Caples and Kirkwood, it appears that all the clean up work the ENF has done in that corridor is paying off. Does not appear that a lot of significant fire ran through there. Eyes on it will tell but the ENF has been doing a lot of clean up of the ladder fuels in the last few years. More forests should follow that lead.

Do you have any pictures of Thompson peak by 89 In xmas valley?

Any method to obtain specific geographic markers on these FLIR cam images. AN overlay of some sort. Specifcally the Heavenly images? I see the general direction the cams are aimed so I can deduce some.

Is anyone privy or have access to why exactly many of us are still evacuated along sly park? It would appear from IR maps this flank had been cold for days. The ops map shows this flank as “contained”. Some of us ( thousand of us) are going on 17 days away from our homes. Info is hard to come by and it’s difficult to plan for future when there is no info available. I understand that many have lost all and I don’t want to appear insensitive but being homeless for the past 17 days hasnt been easy. Especially for our kids.

Anyone have links to CIIMT4 IAP?

I am not on this Incident but you should be able to call your local Sheriff department to get a ball park time to return to your residence.
Be wishes on the outcome.
