I’d say a good alternative for posting images here without posting them directly, is some kind of approved image sharing site (like Imgur), so long as embedding the image itself into the post here in question is disabled. Just so this gives it an option for people to look at the conditions as they were at the time of posting, and helps better encourage fire photography archiving.
