We’ve been seeing lightning from Arcata, but it seems to be far enough away we haven’t heard any thunder. I hope the crews packed a sandwich, cause I think they’re going to be at it for awhile.
Definitely active this morning
Decent wind on it too
Looks like at least three fires building on Humboldt and Del Norte cams.
Watch Duty is calling this the Blue Creek Fire from WildCAD. Checking via camera crosshairs (Red Mtn Del Norte 1 & Deer Horn 1) seems to place this southeast of the provided coords, at roughly 41.375789, -123.659810.
South to north:
- Fire #1 - ESE of Eureka - ALERTCalifornia - Bald Jesse 1
- Fire #2 - NW of Orleans - ALERTCalifornia - Tile Display
- Fire #3 - S of Oregon border - ALERTCalifornia - Tile Display
There are prob at least 20 more of various sizes.
Quite a few S/T’s headed up that way 2 from LNU and another from CZU at least
SCU had one enroute however got diverted to a new start in the unit.
From the radio chatter I picked up, Fortuna is telling ICs to make do with what they have. As resources become available, they can be reassigned. They’re trying to get some Fed resources, but that won’t happen until morning.
TCU over dispatch just tt the call to form up a ST to head on over there.
High divide might get a little sketchy.

I believe that may be the Diamond Fire, I am losing track quickly.
As tomorrow appears, we may find that some of the HUU fires are SRF incidents and vice versa. We will attempt to get things straight. We will start to separate stand alone incidents Into their own threads.
Thank you many of these incidents will hopefully get posted tomorrow as many are quickly expanding and with more storms who knows
Sounds like this will become SRF-Lone Pine
