We’ve been seeing lightning from Arcata, but it seems to be far enough away we haven’t heard any thunder. I hope the crews packed a sandwich, cause I think they’re going to be at it for awhile.

Looks like at least three fires building on Humboldt and Del Norte cams.

Watch Duty is calling this the Blue Creek Fire from WildCAD. Checking via camera crosshairs (Red Mtn Del Norte 1 & Deer Horn 1) seems to place this southeast of the provided coords, at roughly 41.375789, -123.659810.

From the radio chatter I picked up, Fortuna is telling ICs to make do with what they have. As resources become available, they can be reassigned. They’re trying to get some Fed resources, but that won’t happen until morning.

As tomorrow appears, we may find that some of the HUU fires are SRF incidents and vice versa. We will attempt to get things straight. We will start to separate stand alone incidents Into their own threads.
