Tankers 76 and 78 enroute.

maybe looking at HOG Fire or Gold???

No that camera is pointing south…

30 acres per AA

Definitely not Hog or Gold, too far south. This is near Bishop

AA overhead reports 25-30 acres. Would like to bump up air resources for tomorrow. Potential for 500+

Heard “RIDGE IC” as well

Disregard different fire in the area

Iris Meadows should be a Fed campground west of Tom’s Place about 4 miles up Rock Creek Lake Rd. Our yearly ice-fishing territory. A lot of dried fuels North of the road, many on the south side burned a few years ago…in February!

Sounds like it’s at least 3/4 up the canyon. The ic seems to want to keep it federal. Cancelled all incoming local resources. AA
Updated acreage to 35-40. Moderate rate of spread

Until they don’t catch it

If you know the area, then you will understand his decision. This will probably be hand crew and helicopter work only.

Due to the fire being remote why would one care who arrives at the scene.

The queen bee is getting bounced around by the wind

Copy that! Ran crew out of OVY Camp for years and did a lot of project work all up and down that area. Good call by the IC…There is nothing out there worth getting hurt over, especially at night. That’s tough country period. Also Slasher nailed it, the winds howl all over that area with or without T Storms.

Was out there last season on station coverage. Dozer was assigned to the incident. We ended up never off loading the Dozer. To Rocky and just not safe for a Dozer especially at night

Just had tanker 160 and one of coulsons C130S fly by on load and return. It’s kinda cool seeing every tanker fly by and the sound echoing down the San Joaquin river is unreal.
