AA overhead, confirms 20 acres, 1 tanker has declined due to lack of daylight.

For tomorrow, AA just ordered 3 helo’s type 2 or better, 4 air tankers type 2 or better, and 2 type 3 air tankers.

That clinched it then. KNF. Two large fires there in the last four years. Beaver and Gap. Tough country.

Our dozer is on the KNF. Looks like it may be a long week. Lots of action early this year

The Cherry Fire started at 7:47 p.m. this evening. Multiple resources are responding to this fire near the rock quarry next to Horse Creek off of Highway 96. Size is estimated at 100 acres currently. Evacuation warning in effect for Cherry Maple road, Horse Creek road up to Middle Creek road.

Has this fire been contained? I ask because ihc crew Mad River was called last night only to report today, Long after last update had been posted. Any update would be greatly welcomed. Thanks.

It was reported as fully lined this morning at 100 acres.

Turns out to be a little less that 100 acres. There should be some demobes tomorrow. All state resources off the fire. If all goes as planned it will go to a type 4 Saturday.
