I am on a dozer group in that area. The fire jumped the North Fork of the Kaweah about 2:30 . It made a good run to the top of Redwood Ridge. The air tankers and helicopters were trying to keep it from crossing the top of the ridge and box it in.the dozer line in the foreground is our line.limage|375x500

Cal Fire has had us building very wide contingency linens from Eshom point to the North Fork on the Kaweah at sheep creek in Three Rivers to stop the spread on to private lands for 10 days. Feel very confident these lines will hold .I don’t know what the USFS has done North of where we stopped at Pierce Lake.

Im in Division Charlie. Small burn op today near division Alpha/Charlie break. Trying to square it up and tie into Mineral King Rd while weather is cooperative.

Calfire is staging equipment on the FKU side of the DPA. Heard engines and dozers moving up to Squaw valley Station.

FKU has Overhead and at least 1 strike team Charlies and Limas staged. What is the trigger point and is this unified command? BC4311 did want them to come to the fire camp at Hume. ST leader said they had plenty of support at current location.
